Adrean Riba, MD

Denver Prevention Training Center

Dr. Riba is the HIV/STD fellow for the Denver Prevention Training Center and currently in her first year of Preventive Medicine residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. Prior to this residency, Dr. Riba completed an internship in Internal Medicine at MHUMC (Memorial Health University Medical Center).

Adriana Kohler, JD

Policy Director, Texans Care for Children

Adriana Kohler is Policy Director at Texans Care for Children, a children's advocacy organization that drives policy changes to improve children’s lives. She leads TCFC’s work to improve maternal and infant health and coordinates the organization’s work across policy areas. Adriana previously worked in Washington D.C. where she advanced state and federal policies that increase health care access. Adriana received her B.A. in History and Political Science and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Aimee Rachel, MSSW, TACHC

Trauma Informed Care Project Coordinator, Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC)

Aimee Rachel joined TACHC as the Trauma Informed Care Project Coordinator and is responsible for coordination of the TACHC trauma informed care program, curriculum development, and providing training and consultation to health centers on the implementation of trauma informed care. Aimee earned her Bachelor of Social Work at Texas Woman’s University and obtained her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Buffalo. While in Buffalo, Aimee worked as a project manager at the Institute on Trauma and Trauma Informed Care. Aimee was responsible for trauma informed care training and consultation to human service organizations, health care organizations, and refugee organizations. Aimee also led trainings in trauma informed care to local, state, and federal first responders as well as court personnel. Aimee is currently a doctoral student at Baylor University where she is working on a doctoral of education with an emphasis in organizational change. Prior to joining TACHC, Aimee worked as the Senior Ryan White Supervisor for a federally qualified health center. Aimee is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy.

Alejandro Chaoul, PhD

Founder and Director of The Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute

Alejandro Chaoul, PhD has been a student of Tibetan Buddhism since 1989, studying with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. He is currently a faculty member in the Integrative Medicine Program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, where since 1999, he has been leading people with cancer and their family members through mind/body/spirit techniques aimed at reducing stress and facilitating healing. Dr. Chaoul, who received his PhD in religious studies from Rice University, was recently named a fellow of the Mind and Life Institute, and he is a senior teacher at The 3 Doors, as well as director of The Jung Center.

Bernadette Mason

Director of Service Delivery Improvement

As Director of Service Delivery Improvement, Bernadette Mason (known to us as "Berna") leads the team responsible for both compliance and ensuring the delivery of high quality sexual and reproductive healthcare. Berna works with all clinic staff to identify gaps in service delivery and strives to bring care to the highest quality possible. Spending most of her time on the ground, Berna and her team traverse the state, providing training and tailored technical assistance.

Cherisse Scott

Cherisse has worked in the Reproductive Justice movement for 15 years and has led her team to achieve a strong presence regarding their education, policy & advocacy, culture change and harm reduction work for the most vulnerable Tennesseans.

Christine Dehlendorf, MD, MAS

Professor, Family Community Medicine, School of Medicine, University of California San Francisco

As a family physician with advanced training in family planning and a Masters Degree in Clinical Research, Christine Dehlendorf, MD, MAS, performs research and clinical work designed to address the family planning needs of low-income, diverse populations. She is the director of the Person-Centered Reproductive Health Program, which develops, evaluates, and disseminates interventions to meet women's reproductive needs and preferences, and conducts formative research to better understand women's contraceptive experiences, social communication about contraception, and disparities in contraceptive use and counseling. Dr. Dehlendorf has conducted studies examining the relationship of patient race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status with variation in health care providers' recommendations for contraceptive methods and with the quality of contraceptive counseling.

Clare Coleman

President & CEO @ National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association

Clare Coleman marked a decade as NFPRHA's President & CEO in 2019. Under Clare's leadership, NFPRHA membership has grown over 500%, and its program scope, staff size and budget have tripled. She is the first NFPRHA executive leader with a direct service delivery background, along with substantial expertise in policy. Clare was the CEO of Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley (NY), a Title X sub-recipient agency, from 2006-2009. Prior to her time in New York, Clare worked for US House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita Lowey, serving as Chief of Staff, LD, and Appropriations Associate over her tenure. She also worked for then-Rep. Chuck Schumer and two other members of the US House. In addition to her decade-plus on the Hill, Clare was the lead lobbyist for Planned Parenthood Federation during the partial-birth abortion fight in the 1990s, and just before becoming a Planned Parenthood affiliate CEO, she ran a federal research project on the public health impact of terrorist attacks and other catastrophes at New York University School of Medicine. She has a BA from Smith College.

Dr. Faith Whittier, MD

Faith M Whittier, MD is a board-certified Obstetrics-Gynecology physician with 20+ years of experience in the field. Dr. Whittier has a special interest in teen healthcare, menopause, contraceptive counseling, and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Whittier earned her Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her OB/GYN Residency Program at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. She is continuing her passion for reproductive healthcare currently serving as Medical Director for Everybody Texas.

Kami Geoffray, JD

CEO, Every Body Texas

Kami Geoffray joined the Every Body Texas in 2016 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since January 2017. Kami has a passion for increasing access to healthcare and advancing health equity and has worked at non-profit and government organizations, on both the state and national level; most recently at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Kami received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University and her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School.

Mar Kidvai Padilla, MS Ed

Training Manager, Cardea Services

Mar has spent the past 15+ years working for freedom in a variety of roles, including as a community organizer, domestic violence hotline operator, human trafficking researcher, elementary school teacher, HIV/HCV tester, harm reduction counselor, and sexual health training manager. A recent graduate of UT Austin\'s School of Social Work, they believe true healing is only possible in a decolonized world that centers Black power.

Nadia Siddiqui

Chief Health Equity Officer @ Texas Health Institute

Nadia Siddiqui is Texas Health Institute's inaugural Chief Equity Officer. She brings 15 years of experience leading research, evaluation, and community programs to advance health equity at the national, state, and local levels. Ms. Siddiqui holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics-Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

Nkem Ndefo, MSN

Nkem Ndefo brings an abundance of experience as a clinician, educator, consultant, and community strategist to innovative programs that address stress and trauma and build resilience for individuals, organizations, and communities across sectors throughout the US and internationally. She regularly provides trauma-informed subject matter expertise to organizations, initiatives, and governmental agencies. She is currently spearheading a diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism initiative for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.

Stacey Pogue

Stacey has been a health policy expert at The Center for Public Policy Priorities (CPPP) since 2008, focusing on the Affordable Care Act, private health insurance standards, and women's health. She was recently recognized by Families USA as health care consumer advocate of the year. Stacey previously worked on health policy with the Texas Medicaid agency and the Texas Department of Insurance.

Stephanie Hebert, MEd

Stephanie Hebert is a dynamic health education specialist with over 20 years of experience in program planning, group facilitation, professional presentations, and training. With expertise in reproductive health and sex education, Stephanie has a strong working knowledge of culturally sensitive counseling skills, trauma-informed approaches to care and gender and sexual diversity. She is passionate about creating environments and systems that support ALL clients, students, and communities.
